I am a 23-year-old British computer scientist, who has graduated from the University of Kent. My interests include systems and software engineering and architecture, distributed systems, concurrency, and data mediation. I am undertaking a second London School of Economics distance learning degree course in Mathematics and Economics.
I have recently returned from a round-the-world trip for forty-three weeks which has taken me to some of the most exotic locations on the globe. In this time I explored different cultures of the world and undertook many activities and learning opportunities along the way.
In my spare time I fence foil and epee, play badminton, SCUBA dive and shoot archery. I served as the archery club Secretary at university in 2006-2007. I also avidly follow Formula 1.
I enjoy writing fiction and am working on couple of novels and occasionally compose orchestral pieces.
Furthermore I take a keen interest in government, politics and international relations. I brand myself as a democratic socialist and have my own ideas on government similar to that in the Swiss political system, but with a focus on independant candidates rather than political parties.
I was involved with student politics at Kent Union as the Faculty Representative for Science, Technology and Medical Studies and am now setting up a new project.
